Autogenic training (also known as concentrative self-relaxation) is a relaxation technique established worldwide. It was developed by the German (Berlin) psychiatrist Johannes Schulz in the 1920s.
This program helps you train and improve your own body perception. Suggestive techniques are used to relax your muscular system and to connect with it faster and more intensely. By being aware, and, thus, by your own suggestive (self-influencing) powers you yourself can induce physical and mental relaxation.
With these auto-suggestive (your self-influencing) formulas you will be able to put your body and mind into a state of deep relaxation. This method of auto-suggestion is not to be confused with hypnosis. Here, you are fully conscious, you can control your own thoughts at any moment and you can consciously bring about the state of deep relaxation.
The effect of autogenic training for deep relaxation, stress management and also for a variety of psychosomatic disorders has been proven in numerous studies. In addition, the formulas have an anxiolytic effect and can raise your spirits.
