Gregory of Nyssa is a Christian theologian and philosopher, Bishop of the city of Nyssa, saint, Father and Teacher of the Church. One of the three great "Cappadocians" - the younger brother of St. Basil the Great, a close friend of Gregory the Theologian, entered with them in the Cappadocian circle.
