Philo Gubb, Correspondence-School Detective

A hilarious parody of the detective genre – Philo Gubb dreams of becoming a detective like Sherlock Holmes and quitting his job as a wallpaper-hanger. He enrolls in a correspondence course which offers lessons and various disguises.
