"On the Stage — and Off" is a collection of humorous essays about the actor's daily life of Jerome Klapka Jerome, an outstanding British writer and humourist (1859 – 1927). Thanks to his own actory experience, the author managed, in an incredibly exact way, to describe the life of stage actors and the fact that one shouldn't always believe the authors of stage plays.
