Heart of Darkness

Heart of Darkness is a famous novel by Joseph Conrad, about a voyage up the Congo River in the heart of Africa, by the story's narrator Marlow. He tells his story of the search for and the obsession with the adventurer Kurtz: Is this man a hero – or a monster? Heart of Darkness raises important questions about imperialism and racism. Moreover, it is a great symbolist story.
