The History of the Confederate War, Its Causes and Its Conduct (Vol.1&2)

George Cary Eggleston (1839-1911) was an American author who served in American Civil War. After the War he published a serialized account of his time as a Confederate soldier. These serialized articles were later collected and expanded upon and published under the title "A Rebel's Recollections."
