Mary Anerley: A Yorkshire Tale

Richard Doddridge Blackmore (1825–1900), English novelist and poet, is best known for his classic work 'Lorna Doone: A Romance of Exmoor' (1869). Blackmore was born in Longworth, Berkshire, but spent much of his youth in the lush North Devon landscape, which would later serve as the backdrop for his novels.
