A Young Macedonian in the Army of Alexander the Great

Alfred John Church (1829-1912) was an English classical scholar. He was born in London and was educated at King's College in London. He is known for translating Tacitus from the original Greek and editing Pliny's Letters. Church also penned several stories in English re-telling of traditional tales and legends for young people.
