"The Norman" - is a fascinating short story by the world famous French writer Guy de Maupassant (French: Guy de Maupassant, 1850 - 1893). The retired corporal uncle Mathieu - is a wonderful joker. He works as a guard in the wonder-working chapel, where the believers come to pray. In order to get more money from the congregation, he creates an amusing fraud.
