Mother Goose's Menagerie

Carolyn Wells (1862–1942) was a prolific American writer and poet known for her light verse, mystery novels, and children's books. Born in Rahway, New Jersey, she embarked on her literary career after the publication of her first book, 'At the Sign of the Sphinx' (1896).
