The director of the OLPH choir from its formation to the present day is RITA CYVAS-KLIORYS. She has been active in the Lithuanian community since 1974, when she formed the Lithuanian Treble Choir NERIJA, with whom she released two LP' s and concertized in the major Lithuanian communities of North and South America. From 1981-1990 she was the musical director of the Lithuanian Folk Dance Ensemble "GRANDINELE" with whom she travelled to Rome Italy (1984) and Lithuania (1990). From 1986-1988 she was the president of the National Lithuanian Society of Music. She had significant responsibilities in conjunction with the Seventh Lithuanian Song Festival held in Chicago (May 1991) as co-president of the Repertoire Committee, orchestrator of a portion of the songs sung during the Festival and as one if its conductors.
