courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless
his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is
everlasting; and his truth endureth to all

Showers from heaven’s magnificent glory,
Poured down all around us from heaven’s sanctuary,
Like millions of snow flakes in scenery,
From our loving Father’s treasury,
To bless our desiring hearts with His glory.
In His showers of blessings we prospered,
Spirit, soul and body to Him were attached,
Like grazers that are teathered,
To be kept delighted and satisfied,
With what has been blessedly prepared.
The Lord prepared our hearts and minds,
To be filled with His gratefullness for His good deeds,
Like a farmer delights in seeing a bountiful harvest,
From the year’s patient labouring deeds,
His Words that were sown in a labour of love.
Lord your tender mercies surround us today,
Like they did yesterday and the previous day,
For your mercies are new every day,
Pouring on us like heavenly shower sprays,
Fresh water for the thirsty believers.
Lord thank you for your fresh mercies,
On us made deserving by Jesus blood that lives,
To testify that we were brought out from sin’s prison,
Like a well is dug forth from the earth’s possession,
To give water to many so they may live.
Lord you are a most worthy friend,
Who made your mercies availed at that time to remind,
That without you we are just but imperfect beings,
