”And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the
name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and
the Father by him.” Colossians 3:17
Gathered together here in Him,
Each with an expectation within,
Some came late quietly to join,
Waiting for the word to begin,
Fresh manna in soul to sustain.
The princess and the begger sitting,
The poor and the rich mixing,
Looking to the alter expecting,
A heavenly word packed with blessing,
From Him like manner so fulfilling.
Fellowship in church we love,
Therein strength emanates believe,
For you and me brethren we receive,
Then go our ways to love and forgive,
For His greatest command is love.
She came and sat behind,
Condemned for things inland,
Sad when heart was bound,
She sat cowed like a vagabond.
Head bowed in shame,
Thoughts of rejection troublesome,
She prayed silently to overcome,
Heard by none and seemingly lonesome.
Yet victory came like rain from heaven,
From Him who knows the broken,
Who chooses them to strengthen,
With love lifting the heavy burden.
Suddenly her head was lifted
Strengthed by Her maker and included
Among the beloved and accepted
For His precious blood justified.
I saw the sun smiling down at her,
Like a farmer adding fertilizer,
To a plant in need of more power,
To continue growing better.
Beloved child salvation is yours,
Believe it and defeat the destroyers,
Who act as destiny stealers,
Here are your blessing showers.
Believe and take word to behold,
Like an image in mirror to yield,
For it to transform and build,
